The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) revealed that the country has consumed a record 27, 897 petabytes of data which was utilized by the telecom sector in the current fiscal year 2024-2025 with an increased percentage whereas 2023-2024 was 25, 476 petabytes of data by a percentage of 10.96. This demonstrates more than the nation depends on video streaming, online learning, and the rest of digital services.

The amount of data consumption increased by 37.84 per cent in the last three years:
